As mentioned in yesterday’s commentary, I drew this about a month after the previous strip.  I needed some brain-fixy time.  …I think my coloring technique’s changed a bit in the meantime?  Things look more vibrant to me.

And I think I needed a strip in between this one and the previous one in which Mike and Walky are silent and processing what they’ve seen.  I dunno.  Some breathing room, in between the “SHE’S DEAD!” and “I WILL NOW PUNCH YOU” moments.  After a month’s wait, I’d had time to process events myself, but the characters didn’t, and I lost that moment in my jumping back into the story wanting to hit the ground running.

On the other hand, it makes Walky more of a violent weirdo, which I think I’m legitimately trying to go for here, so, uh, hey, in that respect it works.
