We’ve got our OWN grudges to work out.

Characters: David Walkerton, Guns, Joe Rosenthal, Mandy Kowalski, Mike Warner, Professor Doc, Rikk Oberf, Sierra Snow
You guys, I’m starting to think Walky’s not that great a commander.
(Everyone else already figured this out, it seems.)
That shade of pink on Guns’s hair is just… horrible. It may be the world’s ugliest color.
Also this is a really good page
It’s bubblegun pink.
That’s not bubblegum pink. It’s more of a hot pink
Methinks you missed the pun.
She reminds me of an Inkling
That is a very callus and somewhat very recklessly irresponsible way of handling the situation random pink haird girl. What’s her name again? Guns?
If you want to be the one to get in between two superpowered and emotionally volatile people, then be my guest.
I’d rather shoot the people who are trained killers attacking us, on purpose.
Dame Not-Appearing-In-The-Reboot
Hey, I’m just impressed this is the second time you’ve woven a crossover into a character’s story arc.
Yeah, let’s just ignore Walky beating up one of his squad members. Smart thinking there Guns.
Maybe not the best response, but somebody needs to keep fighting the invaders.
Can’t do both?
Well, she is called “Guns” and not “Gun” for a reason… She’s probably the best multitasker here
I think the line about Big Boss is supposed to indicate that there would be repercussions for taking down mommy’s perfect little angel.
“Deliver the punchline.”
At some point, Walky is going to stop hitting himself and start hitting Mike.
Walky’s got to need some self control somehow.
Let’s be honest none of the agents here are actually worth their salt.
They were late teenagers to early tweens who had been abducted, genetically modified without their consent, brainwashed and then thrown into a war about which most of the world didn’t know with minimal training at best. It’s a miracle that any of them lasted more than a few weeks in front-line duty.
And after two comics of showing some emotion, Mike’s back. It actually looks like he teared up a bit in that first panel but it could just be the force of walky’s punch.
Actually wish their was some follow up on how this effected Mike, but since he’s the resident asshole and he really didn’t have any time to take in Dina’s death in before walk beating him up. I don’t think he ever really addresses this event after this but maybe I’m misremembering. Although there was that red herring picture, I shall always remember that bait and switch.
Not sure about that. Mike always seems to have an angle, so what’s his angle here? It seems to be getting Walky to punch him repeatedly in the face and maybe to death, which seems to be the closest he can come to an expression of guilt.
Once he calms down, he will realize how much he wronged Mike and apologize for breaking the “No Punch” rule.
It’s weirdly gratifying to get little nods to the work you’ve done with somebody else, even when that work is long since done and even when it’s in a grim setting like this. As David mentions, I had no idea Dina was going to die until she did, so when we did those lines for Rikk, I thought they’d serve as a reference to Big Boss, not prophecy.
I enjoy (I imagined how) Rikk asked those questions in an honest straightforward manner, and the echo here seems like a curse or taunt, all from within
Not only is he not a great commander, but based on panel 5 I’d recommend an immediate vasectomy.
