That’s not really how I remember morning sickness. It was never that sudden – I always had plenty of time to make it to a bathroom. Nor did it ever bring me to my knees before hand – I could always walk to said bathroom. Honestly, that looks more like food poisoning to me – sudden and crippling.
[insert something about how no two people are alike and anyway this was written by a dude on the cusp of understanding different viewpoints and shit and who cares, Mary got punched in the FAAAAAAACE]
Morning sickness did this to me all the damn time. I could *usually* get to a bathroom, but not always, and there were many times I got to the bathroom but couldn’t make it to the toilet and had to use the sink. Then there was waiting at a bus stop, and barely making it to the curb to puke, and only staying on my feet because my husband was holding me up… So, totally possible. (And I had 7-8 months of that. Whee.)
They’re ignoring Howard to continue actively hating Mary, it checks out.
In fact, this comic basically encapsulates their dynamic thus far.
Danny, what the hell is up with your posing.
He’s just Thriller dancin’
Howard’s lucky everyone is paying attention to Mary, because Danny was about to finish him off.
That’s what tiles are for.
IIRC, puking was a regular occurrence in that house, why would they even have carpet
Most of flat is tiles but I think I have only thrown up on the floor once.
Well, come on, of course they’re paying attention to Mary! How often do they get to see her concussed?
Not fucking often enough!
And fuck yeah, Billie! Concussing her with ONE punch!
WTG Billie!
Looks like Danny’s caught between watching her barf, and maybe helping out Howard. Or stepping over him.
Yup, gotta love livin’ in that freakin’ house.
OH! this right before *spoiler redacted*

Well, to be fair, it is morning sickness combined with a punch to the face from Billy.
Morning sickness + KARMA TO THE FACE

True. Maybe she has a concussion? That can make you collapse and puke all by itself.

Every time I see these comics I feel really fucking bad for Howard. Did you intend for everyone around Howard to be an absolute dick to him?
It’s alright, nobody can hate Howard more than he hates himself.
That just makes me feel worse!
So, knocking Mary up will also knock her down.
Well this could be justified by the fact that they are ambivalent to Howard, but they do hate Mary, so of course they’ll focus on her.
i can’t stop staring at Danny’s glorious raptor hands
“Heh”.
What’s so funny about “knocked you good”?
The joke is that getting “knocked good”, meaning a strong hit, was according to Joe “good”, meaning positive. It’s funny because they hate Mary!
