“Also making out on the ground outside in a puddle is kinda cold and gross.”
How the hell did Joe get out from under Joyce between panels 2 and 3?
She’s much smaller and probably not as strong as he is? Or he just squirmed to the left?
She does have super strength though.
On the other hand, she probably wasn’t using it that much.
Doesn’t Joe have super strength too?
Maybe? I thought they all had standard super strength, speed and duability, but Joyce’s was specifically tailored to be stronger than standard in addition to her tech affinity.
Joe has no super-strength per se, but Joyce has normal weight and (notice the body language) is making no effort to pin him down. This is a makeout, not a wrestling match. As “forward” as Joyce is being, she’d never go THERE.
It’s never really made clear. Joe’s an abductee, but he’s a support unit, not a front-liner; he never really gets put in a position to show off any superpowers he might have beyond the tinkering. I assume he has at least enhanced durability, but that might just be general cartooniness. It’s often difficult to tell where the line is around here.
Joyce is a front-liner, and one of the more powerful ones, and may well be considerably stronger than Joe, even if he does have some degree of super-strength.
Joe demonstrates super-strength in the pay-to-view J&W’s, during the wedding.
Just before Ultra Car’s intro Danny’s reaction to his car being moved without the key is to assume Joe pushed it clear across the parking level. He also references “man of steel, woman of tissue paper” in regards to college.
Huh, didn’t remember that one, but I will always remember “Man of steel, woman of steel, bed of tissue paper.”
Have fun with the flu, you kids.

Joyce, you’re not in From Here to Eternity and that is not the seashore.
That’s a good thing. At least she won’t wind up with sand in unwanted places.
After all, we all know sand is coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
Wow I forgot this entire thing happened.
Joyce: “Destroy me!”
Joe: “GET WREKT”
My confort with the rain tends to vary between the city, On Mazatlan rain is comfortable and you only worry when puddles get gross, on Mexico puddles are always gross and the rain stings like hell because it’s cold :/
That’s actually a good point. Up here in Portland, the rain is generally just cold. I imagine down in the southern US, it’s a warm, pleasant rain. If it’s not a hurricane, that is.
Warm rain when it’s already hot as hell outside isn’t pleasant, it’s gross. *lives in Miami*
The only good rain is Hawai’ian rain, b/c if you don’t like it, cross the street
“Don’t make me destroy you.”
Even at that, apparently SEMMF sex ed is better than fundie homeschool sex ed.
Who knows what was in that puddle?
Joyce: Reck the shit out of me ! Rock me like a hurricane.
Oh wait no she doesn’t curse in this universe either right?
Hehehe, I like the juxtaposition between this strip and the Dumbing of age one of today.
Something something cinnamon, too pure for this world
Jesus Joe, it’s your penis, not a rocket launcher. I think she’ll be alright.
Yeah, seriously. That’s for fixing her.
maybe he just doesn’t want to bone her because he’s not attracted to her? i think it’s pretty clear that joe sees her more as a sister than a potential sex partner.
i’m trying to imagine the height difference. because i’ve been the short one on top of someone much taller than me before. and i bet she was kneeing him in the groin if she was kissing him like that.
and yes, wet and cold hair and clothes everywhere does not a romantic or sexy scene make. XD
Huh. For some reason, I thought we still had a few months until this arc.

I'm so excited for a webcomic that's not about being drunk and depressed!
