i really feel like walky should have been just very recently disqualified from being in charge
like, maybe the “guess what, you have to step up into the roll now for real” moment has kind of passed
Walky’s having a “me having to fill in as boss” moment, huh
Eh, he’s not been fired from being commander yet, even if his recent behaviour shows he’s not qualified. It’s been a long day. Let Linda…
Oh, right, Linda.
Yay, nepotism!
I don’t remember how Walky keeps his position as the commander of his squad after this story arc, but I wouldn’t be surprised if his mom being the boss of SEMME has something to do with it.
Nepotism seems to have been a thing with the laSt guy in charge as well, so yeah leadership really sucks around Semme doesn’t it?
Where IS Linda?
Where’s the Beef?
Wait how does Walky know that? Am I missing something again?
A britja told him that a couple of strips back.
What roll should he step in? A dinner roll hits the spot for me.
I came here to see who caught that. I’m surprised you’re the only one who mentioned this….
Problem is, his second-in-command is Tony, who’s currently mindwiped and unconscious. Who else could do it? Joyce is having her own little crisis right now, Sal is a convicted fugitive who nearly destroyed SEMME herself and is firmly invested in getting Walky to step up. Jason has useful knowledge of their enemy and command experience, but there is no way on either of his Earths that he’s countermanding Sal after that speech of hers.
So yeah, ideally Walky wouldn’t be within fifty feet of a command decision at this point, but we live in a fallen world.
What time was their dinner reservation? I’m starting to worry they won’t make it.
Wait, did we miss a strip here?
The old site says no.
They are in SEMME headquarters, and there’s lots of people from other squads running around. Surely there’s another squad commander somewhere that could take point on this?
Although I have to disagree with Willis that breaking the “no punch” rule disqualifies him from leadership. It’s just a game, man.
