omigosh, what is up with all of these 5 line snip-its? is the site glitching together parts of various comments, or is this a poetic thing that people are doing intentionally? please someone let me know, i am incredibly confused by it all.
It’s kind of annoying, but people are posting the names of strips that appear in the “related comics” links above. Sometimes they form a kind of poetry, and everyone sees different links (which means they aren’t really “related” to the day’s comic at all; it’s apparently just random links)
I like to make small snippets of stories from them, it’s just a small thing.
They _are_ related – many of them are duplicated across the “poems” – just all of the strips have more than 5 related strips, and each load gives you a random sampling.
Now that I know what’s going on it’s not that annoying, but for a while now I’ve been feeling like there’d been a Secret Meeting of Walky Fans that I wasn’t invited to, where this all got explained.
I call them “Walku”.
It’s a strange bit of entertainment, one that I’m indulging in myself for the first time right now. The internet is a gloriously weird place. I can’t imagine how we ever got by without it.
