It felt organic to the story that Joyce and Walky would run off and get secret-hitched. BUT like 99% of the people signed up for Paid Subscription Strips were there to see a goddamn wedding. I found myself in a pickle!!!! So, uh, here we are now, riding that line of Did They/Have They. I’m not even sure if I ever established if they actually had. Nor do I remember resolving that for myself, the author.

my SIL eloped but also told folks, and we still showed up for their “real” wedding three months later
I witnessed a legal marriage the couple did for tax and insurance purposes, then went to the wedding 6 months later out-of-state where the other family lived.
I’ve also been to a second wedding outdoors, where there was a pig roast and the bride and groom rode down the aisle on motorcycles.
I say do weddings however the hell you want.

I went to one with a chocolate fountain that the bride’s uncle hated (he paid, I guess), but eh
Lots more of those this year I’ll bet. My stepbrother and his wife sent us a “delay the date” card that was super cute and matched their “save the date”, informing us they’d gotten legally hitched but we were going to have the party after COVID is over.
Potentially considering if Becky can keep the news to a hush, back away from the shenanigans, Joyce.

If we’re only a little past the midway point, we should still have almost half of J&W left.
I say we force him (possibly with money? Money usually works) to create / continue another comic once the reruns end.
Well, there’s Dexter and Monkey Master, but I’m not sure even Willis is really up for 2 daily comics long term.
