I really like the idea that people have no idea what the origin of ‘Walky’ so when they see ‘Walkerton’ they just assume that’s his full first name.
So, he’s actually “Walky Walkerton,” just like a certain Mario is supposedly “Mario Mario?”
I figured more like if you had no idea what his name was beyond ‘Walky’, you’d have no context for whether Walkterton was his first or last name, some people really do have first names that are clearly just last names.
I was thinking more like Turk Turkleton.
His real last name isn’t Lanza?

Gotta love how the joke hinges on Joyce’s name changing due to marriage but she’s still listed as Joyce Brown 😝
