Becky seems oddly calm about that prospect, even as a joke. (Perhaps especially as a joke, given how casual Sal is about it.)
I suppose she is friends with Joyce. And it does explain how well she’ll take the Soggening to end up part of Galasso’s crack team of universe-hoppers.
TL;DW: Nolan Bushnell started Chuck E. Cheese after Warner Communications bought Atari. He was going to partner with another guy to franchise more restaurants, but they had a falling-out so the other guy started ShowBiz Pizza Place. In 1985, Chuck E. Cheese was in bankruptcy so ShowBiz bought them out. They ran both chains in parallel for a few years, until they consolidated everything under the Chuck E. Cheese brand because they owned the characters outright (unlike the ShowBiz mechanical band, the Rock-a-Fire Explosion, which was and still is owned by the animatronics pioneer who created them).
Considering how many times HA has tried to interfere with their lives already, and came back from being supposedly dead as well, Sal’s joke in the third panel should be taken seriously.
Charles Entertainment Cheese
… a powerful rat.
Proprietor of the legendary Mechanical Rat Pizza and Children’s Casino. The 80s and 90s were a strange time to grow up in.
(I will never get sick of that joke.)
Panel 6 Becky kinda looks like she’s blushing from having had Sal’s arm on her back in the previous panel.
Further compounded because I briefly thought they were holding hands.
I just want to know what Sal is doing to Becky’s shirt in the next to last panel.

You mean Showbiz Pizza?
They mean Willy’s Wonderland.
The backstory of Chuck E. Cheese’s is interesting and surprisingly complicated.

But then it wouldn’t be dramatic foreshadowing!
