“Wiped” is an improvement over pre-SEMME Joyce. Her memory was so full of holes anyway that her mind was like someone shotgunned a Swiss cheese. Taking it back to a blank slate and letting her rebuild from the ground up results in a better, healthier, more stable Joyce. Who is still fundamentally Joyce, when all is said and done.
So… what does she mean, “another”? Are there a lot of mind wipees in SEMME? If there are we sure as hell never see them, certainly not in “Year Zero” where they’d pretty heavily affect the plot. Unless they all died, I guess… that’s probably it isn’t it?
I have a horrible memory for faces, so it’s possible she just doesn’t recognize her.
On the other hand, those eyes. She looks like she came from North of the Wall to eat you.
They’re hard to forget, is what I was getting at. Hit Post too soon.
Nothin’ in that girl’s head but teeth and eyeballs.
She didn’t paint her gun pink!
She painted it salmon.
And the bows are scientifically proven to make it shoot faster.
That’s obviously salmon!
No no no, it’s lightish red!
I mean, it could be Sal just trying to convince herself…
“That’s right, she’s just another mind wipee now… Don’t think about who she used to be.”
Ok, that’s full of crap, but oh well.
Whatever I’ll take it.
wording’s ambiguous enough that it actually makes sense.
Well, I guess it’s lucky that her wording made it sound pretty ambiguous.
Yeah, the way it’s written, it could easily be “Joyce is another mind wipee” instead of “whoever that is, it’s another mind wipee.”
People having their minds wiped is almost depressing but only because it gives SEMME access to impressionable minds.

Yeah but Sal was talking about mind wipees in general
I dunno, looks like Joyce is warping the minds of those around her.
Hunh. So Sal has been doubting SEMME from the start. I wonder if she’s already met with Dargon’s people.
who says you can’t shoot loads of ammo and look girly at the same time?
I am beginning to question why you illustrated that encounter of Sal and Joyce when it was only going to cause issues like this.
