I was thinking the same thing. It’s like I read this strip and suddenly the comments about how Sarah’s only character trait is hating Joyce make complete sense to me.
Panel 3 is a really great subtle thing. Joyce knows she is about to annoy Sarah, Sarah knows Joyce is about to annoy her, and Sarah knows Joyce knows she is about to annoy Sarah.
This is exactly why she and Walky are perfect for each other. IN ANY UNIVERSE. Yes. I will be sorely full of RAGE if they don’t end up together in DoA.
(Ok Willis is free to do as he pleases with his own characters. And I am free to dislike it all I want!!!) 😉
I’m not sure it’s OOC so much as a side of Joyce we haven’t seen yet. To my knowledge, with the exception of the horoscope strips a ways back, everything we’ve seen of Joyce has been her interacting with Danny and obsessing over him (and I suppose the art history thing). This is about our only chance to see Joyce pre-mind-wipe and not thinking about Danny, and it turns out she’s a little goofy.
Or maybe she just heard Danny likes pirates.
Actually I think this is one of the few strips that came before “It’s Walky” that has Joyce this silly. All of the Roomies strips she’s in focused on her obsession with Danny and innocence that I pretty much thought while reading “It’s Walky” that all her silliness was Walky rubbing off on her as a result of her losing her memory.
Man, it’s nice seeing Joyce derp around when she’s not thinking about Danny.
Hahaha, this is actually pretty funny.
The first time I read this strip, I literally did this to my friend later that day. It’s still hilarious.
See, this is why I don’t like Sarah in this continuity. Joyce can’t do anything at all without her reacting badly to it.

Joyce may be brainwashed-religious and a clingy stalker, but she’s still very likeable when you don’t have to deal with that stuff!
Albeit that’s like saying being on fire is nice if you don’t have to live with the nerve damage and excruciating pain.
It does keep you warm at night
……………..that is true.
Light a man a fire, and you will keep him warm for a night. Light a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life.
This now seems perfectly fitting for Joyce: http://25.media.tumblr.com/40aa05be27162b7cd8ebaa5334cee520/tumblr_mpldm4RxSM1qdlh1io1_400.gif

In the first two panels, Sarah is annoyed by her drink!
That seems pretty in-character to me!
Joyce is a lot more enjoyable when she’s not stalking anyone.
Did this when my parents got home. A shame dad was paying more attention to his phone than me.

Nah. I’ve seen that storyline. When you reset to zero, you need to take the advantage of going somewhere new.
This page has always annoyed me, it seems way ooc for Joyce.

What? Joyce is totally the person who want to do this. If it was anyone else (except Walky) I’d agree with you, but not Joyce.
Whaaaaa?
out of character?

Come on Sarah, don’t be so sight.
