Alternate universe travel stretches credulity

…huh, D.J. Wilcox is actually one of my oldest characters. Anyone I created in middle school basically has to be. It’s just weird to think about “oh, right, good ol’ D.J. Wilcox, one of my oldest characters.”
can we at least be assured that D.J., to whom some may refer as “Deej,” is a good egg?
For being one of your oldest, DJ doesn’t appear all that much that I recall.
my oldest characters never appeared in anything, because they were weird kindergarten amalgamations that didn’t even have names, so (insert shrug emoji I’m too lazy to look up here)
I’ve got a couple characters I’ve kept lying around, in that I can say they’re technically sketched out from the bones of characters who’d already been sketched out from the bones of the source, from when I was roleplaying as a preteen.
What they actually have in common with their original sources by this point are similar color schemes and (sometimes) names, but hey, they’re persistent.
Well, sure.
I more meant compared to some of Willis’ other extremely early characters like Ultra Car who continue to hold a place of great relevance.
My, but doesn’t that
look fetching?Embedding code didn’t work: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LampshadeHanging
You . . . you B-Word!
You don’t just link TVTropes without providing warnings! Many hours and lives have been lost perusing that site.
They really need a click-through warning page that looks like the “nothing in here is worth dying for” signs they put in underwater caves for SCUBA divers.
…I was just about to ask something, then I remembered this is prolly before that so maybe I answered my own question
(about “current day” D.J.)
Wait, how were DJ and Danny related in the pre-web stuff? I always assumed pre-web Danny was your age.
Pre-web Danny was a twenty-something adult and by the time I was in middle school, adventures timeskipped to him being fifteen years older with kids. I didn’t age him down to a teenager until I was in high school. Sly Sirs/Roomies! was always meant to be a prequel to his “proper” age of like 25.
Ah so goggles are just in in the future.
At least if you’re a cool kid.
(… D.J. Wilcox’s cool kid credentials are pretty dubious, though.)
almost as much as wearing two neckties
So I’m assuming DJ Wilcox is an alternate universe Danny?
Not quite.
Don’t forget that time Alternate-Universe Satan had to rescue a bunch of alternate-universe government-employed fans who became mysteriously stranded in this universe.
That Deej is a good egg
*I’m DJ Wilcox, and I’m here to say/dimensional travel shouldn’t work this way*
