True but it failed because of human interaction, not inconvenient timing or forgotten reasons. I really started to like Willis’ writing around here. It’s very… human in how it went about this. A little half held back, but still… very human.
Well, mostly sense. Joyce wouldn’t be “destroyed” by any of this. But it’s still decent of him to recognize that he can’t give Joyce what she really wants.
