[getting up and leaving] “i’m sorry Willis, but you’re never going to end your habit of ending conversational scenes with one person walking away while delivering a whammy line.”
Ouch, Robin just got rejected for a woman Joe hasn’t even met yet.
I mean it’s an effective trope. If it ain’t broke…
It’s a lot better than having them walk away and later text a whammy line.
Or, I don’t know, walk away, get a tattoo with the whammy line, register a donation of their body to “doctor” [other person], and at some point, die.
Or delivering a whammy line and then immediately being run over by a truck. (Just to cover all the bases.))
I dunno, texting a whammy line after the conversation is long over could be really funny.
Joe did it in Dumbing of Age.
