this strip always confused me… I mean if they were awake it either means they have ESP or they both decided that falling on the floor next to the others bed was a good idea at the same time.
either that or they’re asleep and their genitals have started a magnetic attraction to each other.
It’s the whoops! that’s confusing I think.
You both may fall out of bed at close to the same time, especially when sleeping with a person that you are just ‘sleeping’ with for the first time.
But, Whoops! simultaneously?
“What are you two doing down there?” Mary says. “I know pre-marital hanky-panky when I see it, and that’s not it. And after Joe and I went to all the trouble to coordinate pushing you two out of bed at the same time!”
This isn’t greyscale though, it’s just black and white with hatching. I think he meant this scene was a pain to draw like this and would’ve been easier in greyscale.
But yeah, I always find it interesting watching an artist’s style evolve as I go through the archives.
I’ve always wondered if that was intentional on their parts.
Sure seems to me like their parts have intentions.
“If you’re trying to have sex you’re doing it wrong.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Danny’s involved.”
joe knows
Joe always knows.
Out of all of the roomies! Strips, this is one I remember the clearest.

Love the development of the art. I agree David, the grayscale looks awesome. So great to watch you refine over the years!
