Whew!
on July 2, 2019 at 12:01 amAnd that’s what I think about the Why Batman Can’t Kill The Joker defense!
Panel three was first seen in Walky’s visions here.
And that’s a series wrap for the Head Alien. Last words: “Right in the back. How’d you know? My favorite death.” And Sal can’t keep back her tears as she murders her abusive father. As I said a few strips ago, no other character deserves to off him more. Not sure anyone else would’ve had as strong of an emotional reaction to doing it, either.
[imagine a head alien eulogy here, but i have eulogized an effin’ lot recently, i don’t have any additional eulogy bandwidth in me at the mo’]
HA must have heard of Vlad the Impaler and liked his style.
…thankfully Willis is too nice to go Vlad’s route and have him impaled up the anus like Vlad did to his victims
“Words cannot describe how the people of the world felt when Head Alien was backstabbed so brutally by the one who most deserved to do the stabbing… relief comes to mind, but also disappointment, that HA would steal the satisfaction of offing him by declaring it his preferred method of death…”
I read it as; right in the back my one weakness how did you know
I mean, if anyone kinda forfeited deserving a eulogy a long time ago, I’m pretty sure it’d be him.
Lets be real, if Joker DID take over Batman at the end of Arkham Knight, Diana would have put him down QUICK because what else is she gonna use a sword for?
She’s done it before to Maxwell Lord when he tookover Superman’s mind, snapped his neck in front of the world to boot!
He died as he lived…Always coming up short.
Abusive father?
I thought the reason Batman cant kill the Joker was because its a cartoon world where a criminal can be repeatedly caught and yet never suffer any consequences.
Think that only explains why he didn’t get a death penalty or why no cops snuck into to cell to put a cap between his eyes while he’s sleeping.
Batman’s genre savvy. How many times has the Joker died?
He knows even if he tries to kill the Joker, he’ll be back anyway. Might as well put in back in Arkham and hope for a little warning when he breaks out.
I like recurring villains, but I’ve often found it odd that in a lot of fiction the heroes refuse to kill villains who’ve hurt and killed many people when they get the chance to do so.
Cough Batman cough.
Ever tried actually killing someone, even for the better good? It’s kinda icky, besides getting into the nitty gritty of “it’s fine to kill for THIS reason and not THAT” for what’s ostensibly black-and-white morality in entertainment.
Not that I have killed anyone (unless bugs are people now), but I do dream vividly (including TOUCH) and once I dreamt about strangling someone… EEW all around
Don’t kill despite the pitfalls of killing in anger. Kill because HA is a threat to the world that cannot be contained.
He died doing what he loved. Godspeed, you monstrous little asshole.
I really love “Ya gotta take one for the team”, too. This whole ending sequence is fantastic, but yeah – Sal vs Dexter is definitely the heart of it.
