Okay, we knew Linda was a crazy bitch and terrible mother but what’s Chuck’s excuse? How is Sal ‘his baby’ everything shown indicates he knew as much about this as Walky did so he should eb confused and awkward around the strange woman he doesn’t know. not ignoring Beef and glomping onto Sal when she’s clearly uncomfortable.
This is exactly why the storylines that come from this, for both Beef and Sal don’t work for me, nobody’s acting in a way that comes across as natural, it all seems forced to provide the desired outcome.
;I just see Chuck as rolling with it. He’s just such a good dude he just immediately starts treating her like his daughter. It also seems pretty in character for him to not be able to read people at all, so he tries to hug her despite not getting that she’s uncomfortable.
Wait around awhile, will get more angst than you can use
She’s getting out because she doesn’t know them at all and they are both coming on like the worlds greatest parents and etc. Sal doesn’t know them at all. So yeah, she’s outta there.
Huh, I checked the Wayback Machine and in the old version you seem to have done something to the shading digitally to make them look darker than they do here.
I admit to treating extended family gifts the same way =|
Just so long as they don’t pinch cheeks.

Remember, he was crazy enough to marry Linda.
Nobody in the Walkyverse seems to have good taste in romantic partners.
Except Leslie and Robin, obviously.
Leslie was with Robin when she was still… Robin. And not…Robin.
…ESPECIALLY LEslie and Robin.
I love Leslie, but her taste in women is horrendous.
I mean, seriously, she dated Malaya.
Or he’s trying to put his best foot forward.
Well, not ALL of us know that. SOME of us are just starting out reading this and didn’t know that!

Sal: there’s no angst here just love and comfort, I need angst someone get me out of here!

I’d do the same.
“Sal: there’s no angst here just love and comfort”
Unnatural love and comfort, almost Stepford Wifey-level of love and compfort.
$3 you could have afforded to spend.
Slacker.
<3
But that’s like a week’s worth of ramen!
A weeks worth? This was fifteen years ago, it was more like a months worth.
No excuses.
FOOD BE DAMNED.
Why can I see Sal huddled in a corner breathing into a brown paper bag? XD
Ah, this make it clearer than in the previous page
At least Sal remembered Beef.
