Britja: “So, if we let this play out, whoever wins that’s one less person for us to worry about, right? Eh, whatever, I don’t get paid enough to care.”
What was that you said to back at the team up you had with the Fanz group Tony? Oh yeah that’s right, “It’s not about you.”
Matter of fact since he did it to kill Head Alien and kind of succeeded all he did was fallow the same standard Tony has had this entire time, the same standard I’m sure he taught Sal. As long as you accomplish the mission and defeat the enemy it doesn’t matter how many casualties you have right ?…Wait no, wow then I guess all that changes when it’s someone you care about for a change.
Yes, fight each other right in the middle of your fight with the Britjas, because that makes much more sense than defeating the Britjas and then fighting each other about this.
To be fair, hearing that your commander murdered your father – I know that isn’t quite right, but it’s what Tony seems to have heard – is very much the sort of thing that would drive one to a minute of poor decision making. A lot more so than the ill-timed relationship drama Walky and Dina were busy with.
Something in Walky’s expression and attitude in that last panel makes me genuinely want to see Tony kill him. Mostly because it’s a face that says “Tony’s about to get undercut again.”
I mean… it was an accident? Walky was trying to kill the enemy it was his job to fight, and he had no way of knowing Dina and Big Boss were beneath or that the floor would break.
I’m trying to imagine Dina saying “Oh God,” and I just can’t do it. I still say it sometimes out of force of habit, but with Dina I get the vibe that she’s pretty much always been an atheist. Though for all I know Past!Willis is about to prove me wrong.

“We get paid?!”
*mindwipe*
“Not any more, you don’t.”
Even Mike in panel 1 seems worried about where this is going
Eh. He’s surprised by the development, but not worried.
I mean… his death very much was an accident
Was it the best Walky could’ve done, though?
There wasn’t anything else he could do, if only he knew Big Boss was underneath him.

Just like politics!

Mike’s there and I guess he just… remembers all this until he dies a couple chapters from now.
Spoilers!

It’s the most Rikk Oberf-y he’s ever looked, so obviously one wants to see someone beat the shit out of him. Doesn’t really matter who.
…and then Dina was so horrified she ran away to start a new life somewhere else, and we never saw her again. The End.
….sort of accurate
“Hold that pose” *sees 4th panel* That was particularly smart of Walky, wasn’t it? Well, cluing Tony about it was stupid, but the plan is sound.
