Please tell me velociraptoring is a sex thing. Cuz I would not be against that being the way the slipshine starts for Becky and Dina. Becky is about to say this on accident (probably hammered as well), but before she gets it out Becky pounces on top of her and Becky replies “clever girl” because of course she does.
Unless by “you” you mean Willis, in which case that’s weird. How would Dina find Willis to attack him?
I don’t know, she may have just come from something like that. I don’t remember her place in the continuity being all that firmly established by the finale.
That part of Short packed always confused me. Maybe it’s because I never read any of the patron only Joyce and Walky comics, and I know Shortpacked on multiple times was declared separate as not to confuse viewers but how ( spoiler in 3…. 2…….. 1……………………) Dina still alive after coming out that potal? I thought she was very much dead. I mean she was in the purgatory when Walky became the Cheese.
Nah, Willis has said that it’s mainline Walkyverse Dina, the same one as in this strip. Apparently she didn’t die, but was blasted into :metaphysical handwaving: and emerged in Shortpacked, where her diversity was the final trigger for the Soggies’ invasion and she got an awesome girlfriend with a motorcycle and a Cap’n Crunch gun.
That makes even less sense now that I type it out.
But… but Walky saw her at the end, she had to be dead. I just figured that the diversity singularity was messing with the laws of reality to the point that dead or alive didn’t matter to it.
Looking back at this, I’m wondering why you didn’t do more stories about alternate timelines (Like the nowalkyverse In J&W).
I feel that it would have been interesting to see how different things would turn out if, say, Dina and Walky stayed a couple or how the nowalkyverse would be if Dorothy was also an abductee.
*cue Mike going “ooh, diss” in his sleep*
if mike is passed out drunk, then he would be saying ‘my deepest sympathies’
Yeah, but in his subconscious he is the same (jerk) Mike.
I think it’d depend on how much he’s detoxed by this point.
You wouldn’t get the chance. DoA!Dina would give that the velociraptoring it deserves.
Dina does not settle for being second best.
because she never does her second best!

I just realized i wrote Becky pounces and replies. Dina is doing the pouncing
Hey, looks like our cartoonist stopped using markers by this point, opting to shade everything by computer instead!
As someone who
sometimesdraws, I notice such things..Oh! Huh. Hrm. You’re right, but I think it’s only temporary.
*checks*
Yeah, the markers are back after tomorrow’s strip. Musta ran dry these two days or something.
Gaddangit Walky
This is why we don’t give you alcohol
The last paned shocked face is the first walkyverse dina face I’ve found endearing. Does that say something bad about me?
Yeah, now I’m convinced Becky/Dina sprang forth from the thought process of “what if I could make Dina fall for someone still hung up on Joyce again.”
Panel 2 Dina looks like someone photoshopped Ken’s head onto her.
At least in SP Dina doesn’t have to deal with being someone’s rebound off of Joyce.
Just Soggies.
I don’t know, she may have just come from something like that. I don’t remember her place in the continuity being all that firmly established by the finale.
Maybe Dina will finally find a healthy relationship in DoA. She certainly couldn’t in the Walkyverse.
Willis declared this canon.

The same way Ronald Reagan and Historical Jesus are still alive. They just are, deal with it.
I think it’s the Dina from the alternate universe, with the Drama tag?

Welp. This is pure perfection.
Epilogue!
It’s just a single image epilogue, but it’s quite an image.
Among other reasons, it’s awesome she has a motorcycle. Sorta reminds me of:
Hobbes: “Why would you fictionalize your own autobiography?”
Calvin: “Because in my version, I have a flamethrower!”
Everyone say it with me now “GOD DAMN IT WALKERTON!”
Oh yeah.
This strip.
I almost forgot about this strip.
Yaaaaaayy…

SLAMMED!
That sad moment where a character realizes she is very much the rebound still…
OH! that’s gotta hurt!
