Squad 98? Where are you?
on April 25, 2016 at 12:01 amChapter: Great Big Sea
Characters: Anthony McHenry, Chip, David Walkerton, Dina Sarazu, Jason Chesterfield, LV!, Mike Warner, Perc, Pic, Sal Walters, Squad 98, Trixter
Location: Martian Embassy
That’s right, the SEMMersible. I came up with that right now. I’m so smart.
I don’t think Squad 98 was anybody. I mean, I guess in the context of this universe they’re somebodies, unless we’re monsters, but they’re not, like, previously-existing characters so far as I recall.
“Squad 98, where aaaaare youuuuuuu…”
We’re gonna need some Squadie Snacks.
Just ocurred to me, forget the breather, aren’t they supposed to wear protective glasses ?
It’s never mentioned, but all abductees got sweet amphibious clear eyelids so they can see underwater.
Jason doesn’t have abductee powers though, so how is he?
He’s British?
Weather’s awfully damp in the UK, so it makes sense that the natives would’ve adapted.
That’s what I was thinking.
He’s using that special, newly-discovered, Martian tech-derived, spray-on molecular diving suit. Of course.
Just not on his hair.
Damn you, Willis! You killed off my entire favorite squad!
REMEMBER SQUAD 98
“R.I.P. Squad 98. We narely knew you.”
And Snoots the Pig had just been assigned as their new mascot. Now he’ll have to go job hunting again.
…and just when he was about to get his own cool rebreather, too.
Everyone has buckteeth when they swim. Beaver mode away!
IIRC at least one of Squad 98, possibly two, were cheap shots at TF fandom personalities that were on the outs with #Wiigii.
(The mass of hair/seaweed was a certain dealer who had an abrasive personality and a predilection for tacky clothing. I think the cap down front was another guy, too?)
Uh no Walky, you got at least three more to go through.
(1) When he next goes to the bathroom a week after these events
(2) When Dina notices
(3) When he recounts the story of his vomit-eating at some wedding somewhere for maximum self-embarassment
Should have made it Squad 54, and gone for the old time TV reference
I think you count up for quotas, not down.
