Squad 128, bring down this shifty snack!

Location: Shortpacked!
Oh, look, it’s the whole family! Daddy, usually-dead-mommy, and daughter. I’m sure that’s meaningful.
And, ha, yes, it’s a timely joke about Community. Because it’s me.
…I dunno if I’m not old enough or just not clued in, who’s Chevy Chase?
*tries to remember if Chevy Chase was in Community, only watched the first ep before hating the MC and not being interested in watching it before the Netflix sub ran out over stuff like She-Ra and Carmen Sandiego*
He was.
The MC was meant to be despicable. However, Community is not the type of comedy like Seinfeld or Sunny in Philadelphia where the characters are permanently irredeemable assholes and the comedy comes mostly from seeing them getting their comeuppance or turning on each other. He and most characters (not Chevy Chase’s) experience personal growth throughout the series.
It’s by no means perfect but it has great moments.
Come on, Seinfeld’s characters are at most irredeemable goofballs. Agreed on Sunny and Community though
I think Jerry Seinfeld disagrees with you. When it was time to end the series he decided that the only reasonable thing to do was to leave them trapped in jail as a deserved comeuppance for years of being assholes (who, yes, were also goofballs).
I have been assured it gets better but, as stated, we had a limited subscription and I gave preference to other shows
“THEY’RE ANACHRONISTIC!”
But are they Jen Aside?
I dunno, but they’re pretty wack’d
Nah, that was Linda.
I was just wondering if that was a Community reference. Neat!
I love every line of dialogue here. Galasso and Pamela strips tend to do that.
They’re great fun.
The relative lack of Galasso has long been DoA’s greatest weakness.
A weakness Galasso shall exploit in his glorious conquest of multiple realities!
He’s made a few appearances, but not nearly enough. Clearly the students should go to Galasso’s Pizza (and subs) more often.
We need an entire arc set there, focusing on Jason, Becky (who I believe still works there,) THE DIABOLICAL MECHANATIONS OF SIDNEY YUS, and finally getting Sayid some characterization.
For some reason, everyone’s making jokes about toys and/or Batman.
Hot Wheels Guy makes his formal DoA counterpart appearance, somehow.
I think you’re halfway to proposing Dumbing of Age’s own Shortpacked style spin-off
And I haven’t even gotten to the part where Head Alien shows up!
I say that Glasso should go to the students!
He’s right off campus, you know he’s got a catering arm of the business planed out. I want to see him go forth and conquer IU
I mean, Community was a good show.
Oh, hey “This is just a toy store” reference!
Huh, that was a Community reference? Weird, I thought it was about either Caddyshack or, well … Chevy Chase’s entire career, for the most part.
