I’m not sure commentary on these particular strips is really needed. They’re already spelling out the subtext for us.
I guess Danny seems pretty likable. That’s weird.
SPACE: The unknown frontier.
Catronaut?
Spacecat?
Cats… in SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE?
What is this subtext you speak of? Is it something like this subtle I keep hearing? Is it food? Is it tasty?
It’s an anagram for “buttsex”.
So it IS tasty?
Depends on the butt and its cleanliness.
And it’s type of taco seasoning.
Danny is one of those characters that can be seen as good or bad, mostly depending on the characters that surround him.
At least, that’s how I see it.
Standard silent protagonist stuff, really. Even though he speaks… but really, he might as well not.
If Danny were truly likable he’d explain not only what this means but how it applies to people.
No, that’s if he was smart.
Which, admittedly, would serve to make him more likable.
Maybe Willis always cut out when Danny followed through.
That’s Danny’s excuse; he’s really likeable, just always when he’s off-panel.
I dunno man, it still seems a little too subtle for a newspaper strip.
That cat is just letting everyone know that Danny is his bitch. Scent marking, and all.
Space, that concept forever unknown to Joyce.
