These two being together was the saving grace of Roomies that made it sorta okay. They really do bounce off each other well, and it feels very DoA-ish in the way it’s written. I luv Joyce/Walky to bits and it’s one of my favourite romances in all of webcomics, but these two never really came off as a predestined romance and I bought that they put lots of effort into making them work, and I believed that there was a tangible threat that they didn’t make it work, especially later on when Danny dans it harder than he has ever danned before.
That’s because currently he has mined out most of the Dan deposits in this vein. But soon-ish he will dig deeply and greedily and strike and in the depths strike another motherload of Dan.
danny is slowly savoring the first opportunity to be right in this relationship. how weird it must feel that the price he must pay is siding with mary (i.e., his soul)
Regardless of how it sounds the way Billie just stated it, it really is a lot more complicated than a simple putdown for an apology.
So, I don’t think Danny is right in his opinion. And really, he should know better as he knows both Billie and Mary.
Billie: How dare that bitch try to get on good terms with me.
Next she’ll say she wants to be my friend!

I mean… At least Mary is making an effort, right?
