She gives it. You need to respect that regardless of your own opinion. She’s stopped projecting it on and demanding it from others. What else do you want?
Wow, somebody took this comment very personally.
Choosing not to have sex is valid, but purity culture is inherently toxic and Joyce’s repeated use of “pure” belies the fact that she’s still caught up in that bullshit rather than making her own adult decisions about her body.
I figured it out! All this talk of purity isn’t Joyce backsliding in her characterization. It’s her passive-aggressively punishing Walky for not talking to her about the arrangement first. Now he has to listen to endless lectures om purity.

Walky, you have some dirt on your face
They lied to us, bro
I think I lost her.
What you said to me in the rain
Get off
There’s miles of stuff in here
Your last Roomies! in the IDS
Woah, there!
Hey, Dina. Am I sexy?
Thank you, Lord
Doesn’t matter.
Joyce, what’s wrong?
No going back
So what first attracted you to me?
Joyce, where are you?
It’s crazy
It’s pretty weird seeing Walky with stubble.
Yeah it makes him look mature.
It’s probably just cereal crumbs, but since everyone thinks it’s stubble he won’t admit it.
I’m just surprised Walky remembers to shave regularly.
Gonna be so damn glad when Joyce gets over all this purity bullshit.
Nobody gives a fuck, Joyce.

See, that’s the problem with an action hero like Walky.
They CAN grow stubble, but you don’t realize it until you get into the slow, quiet part of the story without a quick succession of close shaves.
Fffffffff…
*look at author comment* yup, that was my exact reaction too

“Clean happy love pants.” She deserves a hug for that.
