Right, right, fine.

Howard, like Faz, would be one of those Dumbing of Age characters whose “quirks” are the kind that don’t land you in jail only if you deage them to a teenager.
I’m sure juvenile hall is a thing tho
That’s where Bart was going to spend Christmas!
I honestly did not know Howard was 24 in this ‘verse.
yeah he’s the same age as Danny and Joe I think. maybe a year younger?
A year younger I think, since he first shows up in Year 2 of Roomies.
I might be forgetting some strips with him, but I kinda feel like even in this universe Howard was never as bad as Faz.
There are fewer graphs involved, anyway…
he’s a typical awkward nerd who is out in the “real” world for the first time so was oblivious to what wasn’t right and wrong, Faz was just obnoxious and didn’t care about the consequences.
One didn’t know, the other didn’t care.
He did sexually assault Kate Mulgrew.
It’s probably not a great thing I find Howard more irritating than Mary.
Awww
Oops. My grav is Mary for DoA
Howard can be trained to change his behavior…Mary is beyond redemption and only acts like she is changed.
Hm. I always felt that Howard was a bit of a flat stereotype. He’s obviously the “stereotypical nerd” – but I’ve literally never met any nerds like that. Most of my male nerd friends are closer in looks/personality to Joe or Walky or Ethan. As such, Howard (and the entire cast of Big Bang Theory) always rang hollow and false to me.
Faz, on the other hand… I wouldn’t say I like him, not at all, but he is so utterly strange and unlike any actual human or character I’ve encountered previously that he remains oddly compelling simply because of how different he is.
… so what I’m saying is, this graph demonstrates my preference for Faz over Howard. Gods help me.
Joe is out of line there, it’s his own damn fault for Howard being there- he didn’t check to see if anyone or anything was in the back when he stole Ultracar!
How is it Howard’s fault that he’s there? Seriously, how is it his fault?
Did a strip where Joe kidnapped Howard missing from the archive?
Because stowaways are responsible for their own actions.
My apologies, I forgot that we are only allowed to bash Danny and never blame anyone else for actions that are idiotic. Joe stole Danny’s SUV and piled a bunched of junk inside of it to create Ultracar- how in the hell did he NOT see Howard back there? It’s impossible to climb inside with that equipment, he had to have been in there already trying to get the SUV back.
But hey, pile on Howard because it’s what people love to do.
Oh, hey, I forgot. Once someone is criticized, they’re immune to being criticized ever again, lest the critic be called a bandwagon jumper.
I am the last person to defend fucking Joe, but he is not the one who did something idiotic and illegal. Howard is.
