Meet the Parents would have been a funnier movie if it starred Sal instead of Ben Stiller. Also there would have been fewer survivors.

In this universe, Linda actually acts like she cares about you, Sal, so stop complaining.
If by “acts like she cares about you”, you mean “swaps you for someone else’s baby and doesn’t speak to you again for a couple of decades”. Which seems to me like a pretty peculiar definition of the phrase.
Well, yes, but after that she acknowledges Sal’s existence over that of the other baby she raised, so.
Basically wow Linda you really need to work on your parenting skills.
Don’t worry I’m pretty sure that this will cause no problem after Linda and the reader have both long forgotten about Brick.
