would you really follow the advice of a random alien midget on a flying saucer that came out of nowhere and tied to kill you? especially if that advice is leave your parents for dead?
Yup there it is…never really understood Sal’s reasoning on this. This is not like her at all.
First check the parental units. Then leave on the alien midgets ufo.
She’s pissed at her parents for never letting her have a life, and never explaining why, her mom just hit her so hard it’s still left a mark hours later, and given how tough she is she was his HARD. Not surprising Sal’s willing to say ‘fuck it’ and leave.
I would’ve thought the whole “an alien just attacked us” bit would give Sal reason to rethink her parents’ motives. Maybe not forgive them, but in the wake of a revelation like that, I think I’d be willing to renew the benefit of the doubt.
This isn’t going to end well to her “parents”, is it?
It’s already been established it doesn’t.
Follow the arrow, Sal.

If my parents were abusive assholes and I had super powers…
Well this can’t possibly backfire.
“No one tells me what to do. I have my own reasons for collecting the Chaos Emeralds.”
“Now, where’s that damn Power Booster Rod?”

Pretty sure “reasoning” is giving her mental state too much credit here.
Yeah, she’s a teenager, and she’s Sal.

I’m pretty sure that mark has less to do with the slap, and more to do with being tossed out of a car at high speeds.

There should be a tag for “Upside-Down This-Side-Up Box”. This time sideways, but it was clearly packed upside-down…
