Eh, not seen Urinetown, but what I’ve heard of it doesn’t draw me that much. I do like Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods (Stage versions, although the film version of the former is good — not seen it for the latter), and… hrm… seen a lot, but having a hard time deciding on more.
That’s a sentiment I can personally sympathize with. I learned to play songs from that play om keyboard and viola when I was younger. I was never a fan, but now I can’t stomach them at all anymore. Same with most X-mas standards.
My mom is German so she really likes the movie (even though it’s about an Austrian family). She used to sing us “Edelweiss” as a lullaby when we were little. I don’t care that much about the rest of the music, but that song has a special place in my heart.
Why? You mean the fact that it turns out the Aliens are basically incompetent?
I agree with the aliens, I hate the Sound of Music.
I like musicals, got a lot of favorite ones…but that one …ack.
Pardon me while I nerd out: do you have a favorite musical?
I do! Urinetown. Drowsy Chaperone and The Producers are close seconds.
Drowsy Chaperone is great! I saw a local production of it back in May, and it was damn near perfect.
I mean, the fact that I’m friends with half the cast helps, but it was a truly incredible production.

I’ve seen Urinetown… I hated it. The film version of Into the Woods is quite good imo. My favorite musical is Wicked, with Les Mis close behind.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is mine, despite all of the crazy weirdness. Followed by Fiddler on the Roof and West Side Story
Dispite? I think you mean BECAUSE
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. I like stuff that’s not afraid to be silly.
I liked the first half of the movie.
Hey, whatever gets Joyce motivated, right?
The joke is Willis hates “The Sound of Music”.

You sure? It went over my head. Way too subtle.
God I hated the sound of music, wait does that make me an Abductee *hopefull face*
That makes you human.
I love Sound of Music. Does that make me Joyce?
Only if you acknowledge Joyce as human.
Heck yeah Sound of Music! We can be Joyce buddies!
They need a new torture tape, the Sound of Music ain’t cuttin’ it.
I bet if they showed Joyce a gay porno it would break her mind.
