MOM, I DO NOT LIKE GIRLS!
on November 29, 2017 at 12:01 amMore autobiographicalness. I am pretty androgynous, and so I get called “Ma’am” a lot in stores and such. I’m okay with it. If I cared, I’d have gotten that haircut.
Fourteen days left in this thing below.

I’ve sometimes thought about letting my hair grow down to my shoulders, but my head gets too hot and always end up getting a haircut before it gets anywhere near that long.
I used to let it grow, then donate my hair. But my wife put a stop to that.
I read somewhere that because men’s hair is usually thinner and shorter that it’s basically impossible to match up enough to create a full wig. Most places smile politely, accept your donation, and then throw it away because they can’t use it.
Not in my case. My hair is thick and tough enough to jam vacuum cleaners. I keep trying to grow it long enough to donate, but it keeps hitting a limit due to shedding. Needs to be a few inches longer and it’s just not getting there.
Funny enough I do have my hair hitting about shoulder length just now. The barber shop I went to for over a decade closed back in March and I haven’t found another I trust, so it’s been growing since and I have about a six inch tail hanging from where it’s bound to where it starts to taper out and seven at the longest part.
Then again, Walky does have a twin sister.
Exactly and, y’know, hair length aside, Walky and Sal do look at little alike…
If you squint and are ONLY looking at the face, not the rest of them. XD
“I do not like girls”? Oh, if she only knew. If she only, only knew.
For a moment, let’s set aside that Dumbing of Age makes it obvious that she very clearly does. Let’s just put a bookmark in this for later, when Squad 128 goes to Canada. (One of my favorite stories, by the way.)
Well, Joyce has girls that she likes (Dorothy, Becky, and Jocelyne-though-Joyce-doesn’t-know-yet, to name a few), but I don’t know that Joyce likes girls in that way. Possible, sure, but not “obvious”.
I think it’s probably that way in Dorothy’s case, even if she doesn’t quite comprehend or refuses to admit it.
Yep, checking the character sheet, Carol’s perception attribute is pretty low…
Is this the strip where the Joyce/Sal ship was born?
When I don’t have my ponytail tied, my hair sometimes goes into ringlets, which has been known to cause confusion with delivery drivers and such. It’s less of an issue now that I’m visibly balding.
When my wife and I first started dating (and a while after we married), I had super long hair. So anyone seeing us kiss from behind me that would super conservative would ALWAYS gasp or speak up about it before I turned around. Then they’d always feel the need to comment their bigotted thoughts on the subject. Oy!
