“My female characters tend to be casually violent. I wonder what that says about me.”
—David Willis, Roomies! or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Beer.
I enjoy the vast chasm of difference between Roomies!Joyce and DOA!Joyce in terms of psychological realism. DOA!Joyce feels like the actual, real-life naive in-love-with-love sillys of the world, with flaws and virtues and such; Roomies!Joyce is pretty much just ‘BLARG I AM ARE HAVE THE STALKING’.
So, pre-character development Joyce’s identity is batshit insane? Then again, perhaps at this point the intention was that Joyce is little more than a plot device to create discontent in Danny-Sal happyland.
Nothing like immediately being irrational and violent to introduce your cute, religious, naive character!

Danny and Joe were randomly brawling by the third strip, so it’s equal opportunity casual violence?
Best casual violence
So Willis, you say Joyce is somewhat based on you? Is this inspired by a true story?
I am, perhaps, quick to anger.
YOU JERKFACE

Probably ought to have said ‘also this applies to all the characters’.
Crazy, crazy Joyce. You shouldn’t be asking what someone did to ‘your’ Danny before you even met him. Doesn’t work like that sweetie.
You’re that guy who calls out “NO! DON’T GO THROUGH THAT DOOR!” during horror flicks, aren’t you.
You heard her get your meat hooks…off.
Ew.
Wow that came off WAY more dirty than I was going for. Stupid BttF Refferences that don’t translate to text.
Get your meat hooks … off (on) My Danny.

Yeah she’s stay’s pretty crazy until It’s Walky and even then.
Pretty much.
And this is just the tip of the batshit crazysauce iceberg.
