The strip before this one is when I started penciling in nonrepro blue pencil. Nonrepro blue doesn’t scan if you have your scanner set to line art mode, which means you never have to erase your pencils to keep them from showing up in the scans. This was a new glorious era for me. Erasing was the most annoying part of what I do. I don’t think I’ve erased something in 15 years.
Well, after reading the commentary and looking at the past few strips again, I want to say there’s some improvement since the ‘switch’ but I can’t be sure if it’s not a placebo thing.
Well, the scanner picked up a little bit of blue in Joyce’s hair a few days ago and some more on Mike’s jawline the day after.
Start worrying when you spot Doug Funnie doing horrible things to ALF’s butthole.
Could you elaborate more on that? I’ve been drawing stuff and i’d like to learn more. What is line art mode?
When I started drafting, before I went to cadd, we used blue pencils on sketches: one blue did no plot, one blue did not print.
Been too long to remember which was what. Havnt thought of them in years.
Ah happy Walky, ‘they’ have his Nachito’s. Guess HA won’t be happy long.
Don’t ever say head Alien had stooped too child like tactics.
That’s interesting, I had no idea!
Once I went tablet, I’ve never gone back.
I… I CAN’T go back! Don’t send me back!!!
I’ve said it before I’ll say it again The Head Alien is basically Dr. Eggman.
Right down to the part where, just as soon as his ridiculous antics finally make you forget he’s actually kinda dangerous, he does something that’s really pretty bad?
Two, for Sal or Mike?
I wouldn’t have thought pencil would show up at all in lineart mode…
Wait, is that not pure black and white? Uh, now I too would like to know about this ‘lineart mode’.
