“We’ll chase him down later,” Alan says, reminding everyone that they literally can’t catch the Head Alien because we already know he’s not captured as of this point in the storyline. It’d be a paradox! So just let him run, even though he’s like twenty feet away and can’t see where he’s going while he wanders into traffic.
On whose sife was Alan again? Or is he hust stupid?
To be determined later.
So this scene where they just let an easy capture getaway happens because there would be a plot hole?
You know what’s funny this is like the second time this has happened.
It’s like a Metal Gear game!
TIME PARADOX
It took me much longer than it should have to work out that in panel 4, Tony just saw Sal’s jacket on the ground, as opposed to being bashful about his boner.
Ditto. I couldn’t figure out what was going on with his face.
“Let’s let HA escape, even though catching him is literally our only job.”
“At least this way we stay employed.”
Wasn’t HA in SEMME custody at the start of IW!, which is after this flashback?
Yes, but we see Sal (as part of SEMME) come and capture Head Alien the night Ruth died. So unless he escapes them again some time between now and then…
Well, knowing SEMME’s track record, that wouldn’t have exactly been unrealistic.
Cephalo was right!
(facepalm)
This reaaaaaally makes it look like Alan is just letting them go. Not suspicious in the slightest, nosiree.
I like the pause in Alan’s last panel dialogue. The hesitation before he refers to it as “home”.
“They’re very slowly getting away!”
Forget incompetence. Does no character here just hate the Head Alien enough to go after him?!
In this strip alone, we have two adolescents whose lives he’s personally wrecked. And they just stand by, as if he ISN’T a dangerous monster out to make their lives miserable.
Huh… where did Tony get Sal’s jacket from?
