So aside from the one shoe that went flying off and that shirt getting un-tucked, not much clothing was disturbed the ostensibly intense make-out that made the rest of the staff flee in terror? Not even Dina’s hat, of course.
Try not to imagine what was going on in the region of that one foot to make it the only body part to receive enough attention to get disrobed with such force.
It is Walky’s fault and it’s a mistake many, many people do in real life. You cannot fault people for having an ideal of what they would like their partners to be, but you can fault those who, in order to gain their feelings or intimacy, pretend to be such ideals. Yes, perhaps the other person should be savvy enough to understand the ruse as opposed to becoming happy for having their dreams come true, but that’s not how human nature works.
We already knew that Dina thought highly of Walky, seeing a deeper, more serious part of him that others don’t see (and we know from future strips that she was right). Her mistake was believing that his goofiness was merely a dressing or a calculated distraction, rather than a full and equal component of his personality and Walky basically has reaffirmed that mistaken belief here.
Also, she eventually pays dearly (and voluntarily) for this mistake, so give her a break.
XD they… got fully dressed after marathon sexy times before sprawling out on the floor in bliss. i’m wondering, did Dina keep her hat on the whole time?
They didn’t have sex. I remember being really confused when I got to this strip originally. Apparently everyone was running for their loves at the sight of Walky and Dina kissing on the floor. And Walky losing a shoe. It seemed a bit of a “huh” moment after the build-up.
Ah, classic relationship mistake…instead of working on seeing if your differences are reconcilable (or just ending the relationship if they’re not), you try to act in the way you think will make them happy.
I can’t really hate Dina for this moment…I think it’s part wanting Walky to live up to what she (thinks) she saw in him, part her lack of familiarity with interpersonal relationships.

We all have to grow at one point, even you Walky.
And we all know what point she wants him to grow at?
She doesn’t want him to grow, she wants him to be her imagined perfect mature boyfriend. That ain’t healthy.
Well, that’s only going to end in tears.
Dina doesn’t know Walky very well if she thinks this is the real Walky.
the “real(ly hope) Walky (stays this way)”
… Gonna keep quiet on this.

To be fair, this is how the entirety of adulthood works.
“The real you.”…this is the part were Dinas character starts to disgust me.

Oh right that’s why I hate this version of Dina
Because she was wrong about him not being goofy?
For the record, I love both versions of Dina.

This is such a total inversion of Dina/Becky, I am wondering if you did that deliberately.
