Y’know, for all of Joe’s faults across both universes, at least he doesn’t subscribe to the ‘No Homo’ camp and is comfortable enough being shirtless in front of other guys (insofar as Walky counts as another guy).
I’m kinda glad I never saw much appeal in doing stuff like this to “rekindle my machismo”. I’d much rather do something because I enjoy it, not because it’s a “manly” thing to do.

…Actually, one of my favourite lines out of DoA is literally Joe calling Walky on his BS ideas about what being a man is about. “Making up bullshit rules”, IIRC.
