Characters: Danny Wilcox, Joe Rosenthal
Location: Danny and Joe's dorm room
I severely misjudged when the Indiana Daily Student would stop publishing newspapers for the semester. I wanted to end the semester on a sweet cliffhanger, but instead got caught offguard and the story got cut off in the middle for winter break. When I got back in January and started drawing strips again, apparently I thought it was EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to lampshade that it was now January. Because I was not very smart.
Is this the start of that arc where the characters go on strike? I know it happens eventually, but I don’t recall the details from my original archive binge back when DoA first launched.
Not until the end of the school year.
I’ve been meaning to do an archive binge since before It’s Walky! ended, but after I figured out it was a followup to something, so…
Smart or not, it’s certainly funny. I like the occasional well-done fourth-wall-breaking.
Good use of fourth wall breaking.
are they the time jump was because of them being characters? Or did they just have that much fun on new years?
It’s Danny we’re talking about. You tell me.
I actually really enjoy the lampshade you put on it.
However, the lampshading is pretty funny, though, from this distant reading.

It’s honestly wild too me how far into the arc based, too personal, slice of life comic they let you get on the school newspaper.
