It is as I had surmised.
on November 26, 2021 at 1:01 amChapter: Same Planet, Different Dementia
Characters: Amber O'Malley, Jacob Williams, Leslie Bean, Malaya Eugenio, Ninja Rick, Pamela, Ultra Car
Location: Shortpacked!
Pamela talks a bit similarly to Galasso, doesn’t she. I see why they clicked.
Even though this universe’s Shortpacked! is stuck in a drama-free stasis, we still get to see some of the newer characters here! Malaya! Jacob! And Ninja Rick, who’s not new. Malaya seen here is Classic Skinny Malaya (albeit in an Early Years Shortpacked! store uniform), whereas in the proper timeline, she hit age 22 and her metabolism stopped. *looks down* Sometimes I wish I had a Drama Tag.
I have mixed feelings, commentary, as I have just lost my engagement and wedding rings, PROBABLY bc I have also lost SO MUCH WEIGHT that they slipped right off somewhere
(before you jelly, it’s health-related and I feel terrible being “skinny” for once, actually)
I’ve lost ten pounds this week. Totally feel you.
Ugh. Health condition weight loss. My sympathies to you both and I hope you improve soon and find doctors who treat it seriously.
A Shortpacked! where Leslie “doesn’t belong” is no real Shortpacked! at all.
…though honestly, I’m just impressed that there exists a version of Galasso who remembers whom he has and has not hired.
And to think that leslie was almost a one-storyline character
I’m sure there’s a story to how Pamela and Galasso met. 50/50 odds it was an “enemies-to-lovers” thing.
I have my own theory, but it relies on information from a strip that’s going to be run here in only a few days from now, so I’m not sure if I should say it. I’ll say that this It’s Walky! strip has something to do with it, though.
They were both supervillians. He was determined to bring the world to heel using toys after the Cabbage Patch Kid craze swept the nation: imagine what that power could accomplish with Galasso at the helm! She was a mad scientist type whose inventions could bring governments to their proverbial knees! At first, they ran into each other trying to enact the same schemes. How DARE this interloper interfere with my plans for world domination?, they both thought. And then they realized they had a common enemy, and together they would be unstoppable!
No one ever found Robo-Vac’s body.
2020 is totally the year we all rethink that “pulling the Drama Tag” thing.
(2021 is just continuing 2020.)
We’ve seen people tagged because of their blood before, but I think this is the first time we’ve seen someone tagged due to their pie.
I’ve been calling this year 2020.1 for a reason.
This is all new to me.
Ergo, my favorite bit is here & the next, on Ethan and Amber and how DofA refers back to it.
In a world based on gags and pratfalls … a car whose pie-thowing antics seemed played out realised her time had come.
…what’s happening in the third to last panel? Is Leslie running away or was she pushed? The former makes more sense, but the panel looks like the latter to me.
