I just started scripting my first ever comic (THIS ISN’T ABOUT ME, OK?) and I was reading tutorials and such online, and one said something along the lines of “stick to one action per panel”. I know this is pretty early Willis stuff, but dammit, it still works.
So what happened to the previous boys she did this to? Can we meet them, or would doing so require a shovel, a map of local landfills, and a strong stomach?
Every time I scroll down to the comments section for Roomies! and see Sarah staring blearily from the Dumbing of Age image, it more or less accurately represents what I expect to find there.
Normally Joyce’s dilemma would play out over a period of weeks rather than an afternoon, and involve her being too clingy rather than a violent stalker.
Though I suppose one doesn’t ask for properly executed drama from a college newspaper comic strip.
She needs hugs. And a sedative.
Joyce is very perceptive.
Y’know, I kinda like the one-panel multiple-action thing that’s been going on in the last two comics.

Joyce needs to be strapped down and forced to watch The Sound of Music . . . or is that foretelling? 😉
It’s okay, Joyce! To get Danny to love you, you first have to get him to hate you!
Little late for that, iddinit?

Murder? No.
Just hospitalization, I’m betting. Or mental institutions, one of the two.
Hospitals, either way!

Sometimes subtlety is just not enough.
I’ve always liked this particular strip. It’s like – what is Joyce expecting to accomplish even if she wrestles the phone away from Danny?
I always liked the comic nature of the way you posed that question. Kind of thought this new run-through would be an opportunity to tell you so.
No commentary? WHAT? *throws table, smashes priceless Ming-dynasty Transformers, causes general ruckus*
I DEMAND INSIGHTFUL SCHOLIA!
“Butts.”
Umm, what happened to the phone? Think of poor Sal, she called long distance.
