I will never understand the issue with Midichlorians. I mean, they don’t change anything about the Force all they do is give us a quantifiable measurement for it! After all, the only thing better than magic is sufficiently analyzed magic, isn’t it?
The Force was already a hereditary thing. “The Force is strong in my family”, anyone? Obi-Wan even said the Emperor would feel threatened by the existence of any children of Anakin Skywalker. Why Anakin Skywalker, specifically, if the Force is not (partially) hereditary?
I say “partially” because it’s possible in both the old EU and the new-canon for non-Force-sensitives to have Force-sensitive offspring – think of them as being comparable to the Muggle-borns of Harry Potter.
Aaaand now Rian Johnson flipped all that on its head.
(I’m not an Episode VIII hater; I just think it was sloppily executed and disjointed in relation to VII.)
This strip seems particularly oversized… to emphasize Lucasneck?
C’mon! Let’s get on the dance floor!
Get out of here!
This Song Was Meant For You
How can you have a long lost twin sister?
Walkerton can’t lead
I’d always hoped
That TRAMP!
JOYCE!
Six months later:
Anybody got any ideas?
What the hell am Ah doin’?
BLAM
Isn’t this place great, Walky?
This is war
Off-switch
Well, there she goes.
Let’s get outta here
Moral and good and pure
Hey, loser
Stuck in a rut
Clear this with the new Big Boss
Come here, you.
Trick or Treat!
Mr. Helmet
A good puppy, Daniel

I don’t know about strangling people like Darth Vader, but I would love it if the Force was real and I could use it.
Mike probably flipped his shit when George Lucas tried to retcon the force into being nothing but space bacteria.

But now using The Force is basically a hereditary thing instead of being something anyone can do.

Some EU materials postulate that the Midichlorians do not Create the force, but are moore common in strong force sensitives.
Thus they mistook Correlation with Causation.
Maybe Joyce is trying to look away from Mike? It’s a slightly awkward line of questioning
Where are we going, again?

Of course.
George Lucas Skywalker.
Ever since this comic originally aired, I have used the “George Lucas’ neck” theory to explain the prequels.
I misremembered this as being a Shortpacked! strip.
ILLUCAS(F)ATI(NECK) CONFIRMED
Also, Mike looks annoyed. I guess that was really a deeply personal memory for him. How … sweet?
This is basically just a Shortpacked! strip.
