At the risk of giving away how young I am… what is an “Obama baby”? Is it just… any baby born during Obama’s presidency? Because the youngest of those would only be four as of this writing. I thought that we were in 2010 at this point?
…so basically, the vibe I’m getting is that the timeline of the free strips relative to the subscription strips is all over the place. Eh, I suppose it’s no worse than Doctor Who‘s UNIT chronology.
I guess Willis must have switched sides by 2008, which would make sense given all the Robin-vs.-Sarah-Palin stuff in Shortpacked. Even as a ten-year old, I remember feeling like that election was one of the most significant events in American history.
Your remark made me realize that it’s actually kind of weird that the anti-immigration politicians are also opposed to universal health care, at least in the US.
Obama baby is a term I didn’t know about until now.
Also I forgot, did Danny even mention anything about having a visit by his alleged son from an alternate timeline? If not then I have to give it to Walky for his intuition.
I’m pretty sure I remember Danny flew into space in Ultra-Car with Joe and Rachel to fight aliens that one time, so I don’t think “crazy doesn’t happen to me” is entirely accurate for Danny.
obama-rama
Obama baby? *calculates according to the description* Oh right.
Congrats Billie, where art thou.

babies conceived as a result of Obama winning the presidency
it WAS pretty dang exciting

well, part of it is Willis has reorganised all the strips for readability
They initially ran concurrently, but I think all the freebies got clumped together so the rest of the story can play out uninterrupted.
I just realised there are both Tr*mp babies, or pre-emptive Hillary babies who are now going to be mortified to be mistaken for Tr*mp babies
(briefly worried I might be an election baby, but I was conceived during an “off” year)
I couldn’t afford to have an Obama Baby. Had to wait for Obamacare to afford having a baby.
I think that still counts!
Your remark made me realize that it’s actually kind of weird that the anti-immigration politicians are also opposed to universal health care, at least in the US.
kinda surprised Walky would be amazed by that
Whoever was posting the original dates stopped a while back and I hadn’t realized things were that far along on the real world timeline.

I keep seeing the banana(?) designs on the wallpaper in the baby’s room as nail clippings flying through the air.
I’ve been seeing them as the aftermath of a crazy pillow fight
I can’t help but read Danny’s dialogue in Panel 2 as “Crazy doesn’t happen to me, Mister. I fought aliens.”
It would be a lot easier to read it the correct way if the sort of boneheadedness my reading requires wasn’t so very Danny.
I’m pretty sure I remember Danny flew into space in Ultra-Car with Joe and Rachel to fight aliens that one time, so I don’t think “crazy doesn’t happen to me” is entirely accurate for Danny.
He had to make it happen, nobody wanted him in that flight.
This is probably the funniest J&W!-strip I’ve read in a long time.
Every panel, every bit of dialogue is funny! Me gusta.
I am just not-awake enough to have read Danny as saying:
“Crazy doesn’t happen to me, mister. I fought aliens.”
Instead of
“Crazy doesn’t happen to me, Mister ‘I fought aliens’.”
A bit of “Pardon impossible prisoner to be sent to Siberia” going on.
Same.
And I needed your comment to understand what he meant. Thanks! (It doesn’t really help that the word “happen” is bold instead of “to me”.)
Danny, you should PROBABLY tell the superhero you know about the time-travelling kids looking for help fighting aliens.
