Panels two and four are sublime, with just the little shift in where the eyes are looking.
I don’t know what they teach in art school, but one rule of cinema dance is “keep your motion side to side” basically almost all the time. In 2-D having people dance towards and away from the screen carries much less impact than doing so live, on stage.
If there’s a similar art rule, this subverts that rule to a very good end. (Pun? What pun?)
