Have fun!
on December 20, 2016 at 12:01 amDang, Dina, you bring the shade.
I didn’t envision this storyline taking place on Walky’s birthday originally. But in the first strip, since it published on April Fool’s Day, he mentioned the day as part of the punchline, and that was his birthday, and it kind of sealed it in. Dina comes off more mean than I wanted, meaner than she would have otherwise if this were just a normal date. D’ah well.

I feel like he’s asking for it when he tells Dina “You’re quiet” tho
I am reminded of something I once read, though I do not remember where: “You’re an adult now. So you get to decide what that means!”
I’m gonna be honest, I dig the hell out of Dina’s front-facing bangs and would like to see them make a comeback. (A combback?)
Noooooo, they’re like Mike’s hair, they’re not 3D, nooooooooo
They should just break up already, since they both clearly have different things they want out of this relationship. Walky just wants to have fun, while Dina wants maturity.
Nah, Dina would rather try and change him, and Walky doesn’t want to have to do the responsible thing and break up with her, because he hates doing hard things.
They really are a train wreck, huh?
also he’d have to admit he likes Joyce
I think he genuinely likes Dina and wants to make it work (also he may not be mature enough to realize that things have gotten bad). Dina, at least until this point, still thought that what she wanted was in him. She’s built him up to be something he’s not and thinks she just needs to coax it out. I don’t think she sees it is as “changing” him necessarily.
I agree they need to split, but I don’t think it’s quite as simple as your comment makes it seem. It’s way more difficult to see the problems when you’re in a relationship, even if to everyone else they’re blatant.
Let Walky have fun for himself, then.
It looks like the negociations broke.
I feel like DoA Dina wouldn’t even know what to do with Walkyverse Dina. DoAD would be straightforward here about what she does and doesn’t want. Strangely, I feel like Walkyverse Walky and Dorothy are playing out a similar path right now, but DoA Walky is trying to hide his immaturity rather than wallow in it.
