Y’know, I’m not typically squicked by incest/twincest/time-travelling-selfcest/rule63cest/clonecest/etc. But I’m with CtP – being lead to think about a ‘taboo’ pairing due to another reader’s commentary is bad enough, but being lead by the author’s retroactive comments grates a little.
I just worry Willis my end up having to reap an unpleasant harvest from the seeds he’s sown with an offhand joke…
I’m usually fine with incest, especially in a fictional setting, but wow would these two not work well together. I mean, for twins, they have NOTHING in common.
Okay, and now you have me wondering if there were many Walky/Sal ‘shippers in the readership after the reveal. I was much happier before wondering about that.
Sal wasn’t really a likable character during the comic. Badass, but not really likable. Walky was always kind of annoying as well and the comic wasn’t subtl;e that he was going to end up with Joyce and only Joyce.
That’s because Rowling used subtle cues for who who be with which character, you either picked them up or you didn’t. It doesn’t help that the movies coloured people’s views of events and the guy making them shipped Harry/Hermione.
Also, for fan ships to exist you have to want those characters together and everyone’s kind of an ass in It’s Walky. Walky hooks up with literally the only other relevant female character that’s not his sister and it’s obvious to everyone she’s temporary.
Please, Willis. Twin siblings are supposed to kiss BEFORE they find out they’re siblings, not immediately afterward! Didn’t the original Star Wars trilogy teach you ANYTHING?!?
I can’t think of a pithy comment becuase the only appropriate response to two characters staring at each other for three panels like this is “Now Kiss”.
Now kiss on the cheek in a familial manner?
NOW HUG.
AND LEAVE ROOM FOR JESUS.
Willis!
No one was thinking that!
Now everyone is thinking that!
… I was thinking that. >_>
Wow…I’m not judging
Same here. The way the second panel zooms in and it looks like they get closer makes it seem like they’re about to kiss.

A rule 34 harvest?
*thinks*
Might be kinda cute (in a way that squicks most people).

Haha! Genetic sexual attraction!
Daddy….!
“It all makes since now no wonder I thought you looked fine as hell, but now realizing this the thought of you being half naked discuss me.”
This is generally not what people have in mind when they compare Willis’s work to George R.R. Martin.
+10
Compare Willis and Martin? But Willis is *good* writer!
I feel like that deserves an “aw snap” sort of response, but the only way I know how to respond like that is to be extremely meta. Hence this.
+100
whats the big deal, its not like they kissed or had a creepy incestuous lover affair
( or was that in the back story ? )
Hum…now I’m wondering if there were many Walky/Sal ‘shippers in the readership before the reveal.

That’s never, ever stopped ‘shippers. That’s never even stopped ‘shippers from claiming their obviously non-canon ships were the obvious canon.
There’s still people who insist Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny are last minute swerves away from the obviously intended Harry/Hermione.

Wait, are you saying that that horcrux vision WASN’T in the book?!
Oh, come on! You can’t spell “Twincest” without “win” after all.
You know, now would have been a good time to reveal their mother is responsible for them being abducted.
He has all the information to manipulate them but uses it in all the wrong ways.

Put ’em face to face and yeah, how COULD you miss it? Heh.
I would say something about Willis’ art style, but that would be over a decade of condescension. 😉
well the triplit thing became part of the story want to see how this plays out

“It’s like looking into a opposite gender mirror” – Walky
*punches Walky* – Sal
