Ah, smartass greeting cards. My family’s celebrations wouldn’t be the same without them.
In regards to the cash discussion, my parents only send cash in my care packages on holidays. But they do also pack them with my favorite snacks and quarters for laundry, so I don’t mind.
I’m at this age currently, and when it comes to finances, I’m not particularly secure, so… I tend to get by on a combination of skipping non-cereal meals, and straight up asking my mother for money. It’s worked well for me so far. I haven’t had to resort to any snark.
Man, I never got sent money in college. I got brownies, though. To kids living on ramen, that was better than cash.
