This is march 2005 and shortpacked started january 2005, but you might have not seen SP! until later. I didn’t go to it until joyce&walky “ended”, and that’s … 2010?
For some reason I strongly remember this and the next few strips. I think it’s likely that they were either the current strips as I was reading It’s Walky!, and so I saw them whenever I went to the site from a new computer (long story) or were my first strips after finishing.
I think Roomies!Redux is just more memorable than the comic it’s actually based on. I’m finding that a lot of my fond memories of Roomies! are actually from Redux.
Ah, minimalism. That sensory input that extrapolates under the fine duress of ourselves and pushes us to elaborate timing until it has reached sufficiency.
I wouldn’t know the benefits myself as I was born a bastard.
You and me both, Plasma.
Although, assuming both parents are separated, you should still reap the benefits.
I only even met my father about 20 years ago before he died, before then I thought he was either in jail or already dead.
This strip is actually what introduced me to Willis’ s work. I found it absolutely hilarious out of context.
I feel like I might’ve seen it the same way, out of context, but it feels like it was years back, way before I even saw Shortpacked!’
Ah well. I’ll remember where I saw it when I’m old.

Damn straight it is XD XD XD XD XD XD XD
It can’t be both?
Joe looks so happy.
Soon he’ll run into Danny and all will be ruined.

I wasn’t saying it!
… I was just thinking it!
……. About every strip…. <âĒn<âĒ
Honestly, I only notice it because I do it myself, and it makes me happy to know that professionals do it too sometimes.

Delightful.
…Is this the series where Joe equips his scooter to fly?
I think so
Agreed. Best Roomies strip of all time. Congratulations! You* Win!

As a person whose parents were divorced, I have to say that this is probably one of the best things ever.
Ya know? When she said motorscooter I thought it was going to be an actual motorscooter, not a child’s razor scooter with a motor on it.
But this seems to be to Joe’s taste so… well played.
Its even funnier without context
