Man, drawing Walky’s original hair-shape is dumb and I hate it. But it was in the earlier part of this storyline, so I guess I’m kind of stuck with it. I thouuught about having it be conveniently messy like how I draw it now after he fell a thousand feet, but eh.
So just so we have a scorecard for my storytelling priorities: adding Alan’s leg, no big deal; drawing Walky’s hair better, no thanks
Wait, if keeping Walky’s hair consistent is so important, why did Joyce’s hairstyle change to her current design pretty much immediately?
Joyce’s hairstyle has been in “her current design” since the beginning of these It’s Walky! pages.
Huh, so it has! I guess it was subtle enough in the older-newer pages that I didn’t really notice until the newer-newer ones. My bad!
Yeesh this shit is dark.
That leg makes what happens later SO much funnier! I mean, you could almost ignore the ear – a good plastic surgeon can do wonders after all. A leg? No way.
Could be a prosthetic.
Are you talking about this leg or the leg that shows up later?
Yes?
“It’s a major award!”
Points!
“Fra-gi-le… Must be Italian!”
I call Dibs on his brain.
Talk about delayed reactions.
Poor Alan, here there and everywhere.
Agree, Walky’s Hair most improved item about him in progression.
Jason, as an ordinary guy who just got blown up and fell said thousand feet without a scratch, you really aren’t entitled to that particular sarcastic response.
“The leg bone is connected to the… hip bone!”
Jason’s upper arms are extraordinary long, especially in panel 2.
You can easily compare this by hooking your arm around your face.
Also, Jason visibly shaken by something as minor as a missing ear? Get a grip, dude. Your British phlegm demands you refrain from displaying agitation.
That is to say, I pictured Jason as a more restrained version of James Bond without all the sex & booze. He doesn’t live up to it.
I think he might also picture himself that way, which makes it kind of funny that he never does live up to that image.
Ah Dark comedy it never stops being disturbing and hilarious.
Still as stupidly optimistic as she was before the mindwipe.
Okay, I love the last two panels.
I think this is the hardest I’ve laughed at one of your punchlines so far.
I hope we get plenty more of this morbid humor.
