This was a sixth page of new content for Roomies! #2. I hate the art in it. I don’t think I even liked its art at the time. Mary’s ears are godawful.
Years later, after introducing Mary as Sal’s best friend in high school, I wanted to plug the plotgap that was her reaction to Sal’s sudden disappearance, so here it is.
Mary’s tag on this strip is also the first appearance of her maiden last name. Roomies! would later give her a married last name, but she’d never had her own last name, so I asked Twitter for possibilities as I put this update together. I settled on Bradford, though Bradshaw was a close second.
