I get the impression the “place” tags would be way more helpful on the Dumbing of Age site, where basically every location we visit is in some way meant to be recognizable and lived-in, as opposed to here, where often scenes happen in places that are narratively necessary but aesthetically arbitrary.
Maybe! DoA and Walkyverse run on different WordPress plugins, and Location/character tags are only a feature over here, so when I started this run I figured well fuck the functionality’s there, might as well use it
I believe they (officially, unofficially there’s at least one privately-owned one somewhere out ther that Joyce had leaked out the plans for; that’s the one that rez’d Mike) have only the one machine at present, and it’s property of the US Government; since it’s only been a few years, and it takes nine months to revive one person and a waiting list was already established as existing at the end of It’s Walky! – and it was uncertain as to whether any other ex-SEMME after Walky would even make it onto the list – the mere existence of a resurrection machine isn’t necessarily a save-all.
You’d think since it’s been a few years the government would have built a few more of those resurrection machines, but then again this is the U.S. government we’re talking about so they might still have only the one machine.
The first ones were partially built out of salvaged Martian resurrection chambers. The parts may still be in limited supply because they haven’t been able to replicate them using Earth technology yet. (Never mind the philosophical repercussions such a technology would have. It’s possible the functional existing chamber is buried deep inside a Top Secret government facility somewhere, and there are no plans to build more just for those reasons.
Poor Jason, rejection snowballed into all this mess.
2016, 2012… 2020.
2020 especially, not a good sign for a new decade when it starts with half a million people literally catching their deaths.

Ha, remember when we thought 2016 was the worst that all the deaths could get? Good times…
…okay not really they were just Less Bad times
Do they care about people dying since they can resurrect them? If they leave DNA samples of course?
