Location: Squad 128's apartment, U.S.S. Destiny
Geez, what a dated reference. Nobody’s gonna remember that show in fifteen years.
*finger to ear*
Really?
REALLY.
Huh.
You don’t say.
aaaaaaaaanyway, in my original elementary-school-written story, Danny and Joe did indeed watch the U.S.S. Destiny launch. Though in that iteration they were just spectators, like Billie, and Joe had nothing to do with its construction.
At least it’s not the Grammys!
yeah I was recentlyish looking up a list of contemporary popular cartoons and HUH how about that
Spongebob is going to be with us forever, like Scooby Doo… It was already on for five years when this strip was first published!
*looks up Cartoon Network schedule for this weekend*
Do they really only run four shows outside Adult Swim now?
They’ll run more shows when their new episodes premiere.
a few are off season and it’s a theme of Halloween this weekend as well…they do tend to run blocks of their most popular shows on the weekends though.
as of this moment: Teen Titans Go!, Gumball, Unikitty, We Bare Bears, Steven Universe, Transformers, Craig of the Creek, Ben 10, Summer Camp Island, Apple and Onion, and Total Dramarama…that’s actually more than Nick and Disney is putting out and is reliant on other studios in the case of several shows.
Ah, but 15 years ago, Squidward didn’t have a kick-ass big production musical number!
You know, I gotta say, I am weirdly curious about the plot of this original elementary school story.
I never got into the Spongebob cartoon. I’m sure it’s had some funny moments, but I just never watched it and instead I’m more into other cartoons like MLP and Avatar.
I’m pretty sure SpongeBob will live forever… in memes.
Too bad the latest Spongebob episodes sucked. I’m an old school fan.
Look out your window, Walky!
Witnessing one of mankind’s achievements on live television can’t beat watching cartoons.
Ahh Willis, your coment below the strip was just as funny as the strip.
