Nice touch that Hooks sorta proves and disproves Walky’s I-must-become-a-[Sal] train of thought here. He “respects” Sal in the sense that he’d never taunt her about her clothes, but he wouldn’t really want to have her as a squad leader or even be in the same room with her.
And his attitude would be the same if, oh, I don’t know why this example is coming to me, but if Walky somehow started looking like a “crazy insane” guy who might as big a threat to himself and his teammates as to any aliens. But what could make that happen?
hey, she showed up for work when I had to cover for my boss
Technically Hooks is right. It might take several decades, but everyone is gonna die eventually.
Life has a 100% fatality rate.
As yet unproven! I’m working on a counterexample. So far, so good.
Technically the human condition only has about a ~95% mortality rate.
Until then, eat Arby’s
“Legend says that whoever holds it will surely die.”
“Well that’s true of anything if you wait long enough.”
You can tell she’s “Happy Nice Sal” because of the collared sweater.
That’s what that is, right? Always kinda looked that way to me.
Sweater over a collared shirt, I believe.

Do not taunt the Happy Nice Sal.
Now now, Sal. Dumb help is better than no help… or something.
Happy… Nice… Sal? I’m going to need to see some receipts on that one.
Happy and nice are relative terms.
YMMV
