Is today’s Roomies! rerun as impenetrable as something drawn by a crazed rooster in heat? Well, here, have something that hopefully approximates visual clarity.
Willis used art upgrade … level: practice makes perfect.
I wonder, how long did this copy take to draw vs the original?
I dunno, this one took me fifteen minutes, but I was tracing. I have no idea how long the original took.
I got here first due to reverse feed order. After seeing the original I’m glad this got put up. Panel 3 especially is a lot better. In the original I thought it was Danny’s head thinking his own name (deep guy) as a truck came at him and he checked his mirror.
You know, this strip made me wonder: When did you decide you didn’t need to put crosshatching on everything?
Much obliged! Now I can tell that there is, like, stuff in the second panel, rather than just shadows or brain ghosts whatever.
Mr. Willis i think it’d be wonderful if you selected more pages from your classic comics to redraw for this site and post them alongside the original
Especially some of the more emotional or plot heavy strips. That would be excellent
David Willis, genius! But now, this clarity makes me realize sumpin I never noticed before,,,, is Ruth undoing her seatbelt???!!! What up w/ that?

I'm so excited for a webcomic that's not about being drunk and depressed!
